The vast majority of our clients consider us to be ‘embedded’ – what does this mean? Firstly, we get the issue of our costs agreed, typically by putting an informed retainer in place that anticipates an annual amount of time that we will use (plus a bit of head room) to help clients on identified requirements. As a result of this fee basis there are no ticking clocks or unexpected hourly invoices.
This, in our experience, encourages more open engagement which makes us better informed and the advice we give more aware of what else is going on in the business. Clients constantly tell us that our preference to work this way is one of the most appealing differences between us and our competitors. However, we are more than happy to operate on a conventional hourly rate basis if that is the clients preference or suits the task in hand.
At the core of our ability to handle the volume of client work is our HubPrompt software, a bespoke package that sits in the ‘cloud’, that we had written for us, and which systemises the production of all our agreements for clients, serves as a reminder system for anything that we or a client wants to remember and organises/ensures professional compliance with clients, typically around instructions and anti-money laundering.
